Remraam was announced in 2007 by Tatweer, which was a subsidiary company of Dubai Holding. The ownership and management of the project has since passed to its sister concern, Dubai Properties Group. Remraam was announced at a time when affordability in Dubai was a major concern and demand was immense for an affordable community.
At its onset, there were concerns about its location, which is along Dubai Bypass Road but today, increasingly, this area and its surroundings are rapidly emerging with a number of projects occupied and under-construction.
The unique selling point for Remraam is the fact that it is extremely green, it comprises a number of low-rise apartment buildings, is family-friendly and has a number of excellent community facilities.
The first buildings in Remraam were delivered to residents in 2013. Since then, Dubai Properties have launched a number of new buildings (which are under-construction) and the community's first retail area commenced operations in 2014.
In July 2015, Geant (the major supermarket chain) opened up a new outlet in the Remraam community.

As of March 2016, the Al Thamam phase (Phase 1) is 100% completed, handed over and mature.
The second phase is only partially ready and construction continues in the Al Ramth phase.
