This tower was announced in 2005 but put on-hold after the 2009 financial crisis. Escan was relaunched in 2012 when a group of investors under-wrote the building. Units were offered for sale at prices starting from AED 1,050 per sq. ft. on a payment-plan.
The building is currently under-construction and expected to be completed by Q4 2015.
Escan Tower will be a mid-end building located next to Manchester Tower and in the vicinity of Marina Park, Trident Waterfront and Westside Apartments.
According to our surveyor visits, we grade Escan as a mid-end quality building. Most of the surrounding buildings in the area are mid-quality.
There are 19 different floorplans in Escan Tower. Areas shown below are gross not net areas:
Studios: 500 - 600 sq. ft. (6 floorplans)
1 Bedrooms: 900 - 1200 sq. ft. (6 floorplans)
2 Bedrooms: 1200 - 1750 sq. ft. (3 floorplans)
3 Bedrooms 2100 - 3,300 sq. ft. (4 floor plans)
Jan 2016 Update: While the tower now appears to be ready, there are several reports indicating that the building management has changed, there are problems with the developer issuing title deeds and current investors are not being delivered as per previous commitments. A Land Department circular issued in late 2015 indicates this project is cancelled. More to follow.
