US delegation visits Dubai to review its real estate experience

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 5 January 2018:Dubai Land Department (DLD) will receive a delegation from the USA representing government and private institutions and comprising more than 150 real estate agents and 11 investors who are seeking investment opportunities in Dubai.

HE Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of DLD, commented: “At this new year’s outset, we announce Dubai’s real estate market’s entry into a new phase of growth to promote real estate opportunities, especially as the Emirate’s environment is safe for living, working, and investing as well as possesses a diverse economic climate capable of attracting business sectors.Thisis made evident by DLD’s welcoming of a real estate delegation from the USA to explore vital investment opportunities in Dubai's real estate sector, which is distinguished from other global markets considering it ranks prominently among the top 10 destinations, attracting foreign direct investment (FDI).”

Bin Mejren added: “This move is aimedat promoting and managing real estate investment at DLD to strengthen its rich agenda of innovative initiatives that aim to consolidate transparency and enhance Dubai’s position as an attractive investment environment. Thisallows us to achieve our vision of positioning Dubai as the world’s premier real estate destination and a byword for innovation, trust, and happiness?.”

Majida Ali Rashid, CEOof the Real Estate Promotion and Investment Management Sector at DLD, said: “We are pleased to welcome the US delegation to Dubai on 13 January for six days. This visit will be the first of our initiatives to promote real estate opportunities during 2019, especially as Dubai’s real estate market is entering a new phase of sustainable growth that promises a rising wavethat coincides with the launch of Expo 2020.”

Rashid stressed that this initiative is a unique step in launching a promotional programme through the Real Estate Promotion and Investment Management Sector, positively contributing to attracting investment from the US market to Dubai’s real estate market.

During the visit, the delegation will review a number ofdevelopers’ real estate projects with presentations that highlight the factors of political and social stability in the UAE generally, and Dubai specifically as well as highlighting its legislation and real estate laws, an important catalyst for real estate investment.

This visit is the result of a cooperation between DLD, the US real estate promotion trustee, Aqari Global Ltd, and Century 21 UAE. It is the first-of-its-kind to promote Dubai’s real estate market to attract investors and real estate agents from the USA and the world, encouraging them to visit Dubai and invest in real estate.

DLD’s representatives will focus on revealing vital investment opportunities in Dubai's real estate sector, which represents a unique success story among global markets. DLD recently recorded a distinguished presence as a global strategic partner at theAmerican 2018 REALTORS Conference & Expo (NAR) in Boston, USA. The visit is complementedby the promotional programme adopted by the Real Estate Promotion and Investment Management Sector at DLD to contribute to attracting investment from the US market to Dubai’s real estate market.
